Art, Technology, and Empowerment: How four illustrators come together to celebrate Women’s Day with ECOPC
At ECOPC, we are activists against planned obsolescence, and we also believe that combining art and technology can be a powerful tool to make a difference. For this reason, this March, and in celebration of International Women’s Day, we came up with the idea to launch a unique campaign, which we have called “A TODO COLOR” IN FUL COLOUR, for which we have brought together four renowned illustrators to create works of art that not only beautify our products but also reflect feminine strength, character, and creativity.
This March, we are launching four limited edition refurbished laptops with these exclusive designs and a message we believe is clear: in today’s world, art and technology are essential tools for transformation.
Why did we choose to combine art and technology?
At ECOPC, we are committed to local talent, and we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the creativity of our artists while offering high-quality products.
As technology enthusiasts, we are convinced that technology can serve multiple purposes at once. That’s why we believe this artistic collaboration perfectly reflects our vision of offering products that connect with people not only through their utility but also through their aesthetics and message. And what better occasion than to celebrate a key date like International Women’s Day?
Meet the four illustrators who made this initiative possible
We are incredibly thrilled and honored to have had the honor of collaborating with these four talented Spanish illustrators, whose vision and style added a unique touch to our refurbished laptops. Allow me to introduce them:
Alba Cantalapiedra (@albaricoque)
Known for her passion and positivity, this Valladolid-based artist who has made a name for herself on social media is not only an artist but also a dedicated entrepreneur. Among her most notable projects is “Tu preguntas, yo dibujo,” a project that emerged during the pandemic and helped her connect with her community on social media. She has also collaborated with brands such as Coca-Cola, Warner Music Spain, and publishing houses like Penguin Random House and Nocturna Ediciones.
Her style blends traditional and digital techniques with a predominance of vivid colors and high contrasts that add dynamism and energy to her designs. Her illustrations often feature clean lines and modern typography, alongside digital collage elements and soft textures that visually enrich her work.
Beatriz Ramo (@naranjalidad)
She is a talented artist from Alicante, now living in Madrid, who left the world of architecture for illustration. She has a very distinctive style, where the almost constant presence of portraits is combined with multiple experimental techniques. She has exhibited her work in various cities, both nationally and internationally, and has collaborated with brands such as Adobe, Lenovo, Inditex, Vogue, Ikea, Amazon, Disney, and more.
Her style is characterized by precise lines and contours. Her artwork generally depicts women in natural settings, using a soft color palette like earth tones or pastel shades. Additionally, she combines different techniques like graphite, watercolors, and colored inks. Her compositions are full of dynamism.
Ana Müshell (@ana.mushell)
Ana is a freelance artist and illustrator whose talent has captivated brands such as Vogue Spain, Amazon, and Netflix. In 2017, she started her career as an author with the illustrated novel “Pink Mousse,” in which the protagonist embarks on a journey through the universe, a pivotal moment in her life that helps her face her fears.
Ana has a unique style that blends soft lines and natural shapes to create compositions full of vitality. Her illustrations are well-balanced, showing a harmonious distribution of elements. The use of mixed techniques, combining traditional methods with digital tools, allows her to create textures that are particularly intriguing to her followers.
Arantxa Recio (@harsa_pati)
She is a versatile artist and muralist from Zaragoza who collaborates with various agencies and publishers in multiple countries, including Italy, Austria, and Scotland. Her work showcases references from the 50s and 60s.
This artist’s style is characterized by her use of a vibrant color palette, fluid and well-defined lines, and high contrasts that add depth to her illustrations. She is also known for using bold geometric patterns, which bring a touch of minimalism to her work.
