Cookie and Local Storage Policy

The user is advised that the ecopc.com website (hereinafter "Website") uses cookies and similar storage technologies. Cookies are small data files that are generated on the User's computer and that allow us to store and retrieve information about browsing habits to ensure proper functioning and to personalize the experience.

1. Types of cookies according to their duration and origin

Depending on the length of time they remain active:

  • Session cookies: Memorized temporarily. They are used to store information that only needs to be kept for the provision of the service requested on a single occasion (e.g., a list of products purchased) and disappear when you close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies: The data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period of time. They have a deletion date.

Depending on who manages the domain:

  • First-party cookies: These are sent to your device and managed exclusively by us for the better functioning of the site.
  • Third-party cookies: These are sent from a computer or domain that is not managed by EcoPC, but by another entity (e.g., Google, Iadvice) that will process the data obtained.
2. Registration, Statistical, and Advertising Cookies
  • Registration & Session cookies: When the user logs in, a temporary first-party cookie is installed so that you can browse your user area without having to enter your data continuously. This cookie disappears when you log out.
  • Analysis cookies (Statistics): Used to study user behavior anonymously, find out the most viewed content, and the number of visitors. We use our own and third-party cookies, such as Google Analytics and Iadvice.
  • Third-party advertising cookies: The aim is to optimize the display of advertisements. We use Google's Doubleclick platform, which stores information about the adverts shown and user interests.
  • Personalization cookies: The aim is to personalize web content and make recommendations based on your interests and the products you have viewed.
3. Technical Storage and LocalStorage (Ealyx)

In order to offer you the Trade-in service for your used equipment, our store uses local storage (localStorage) provided by our partner Ealyx. As it is an indispensable technical requirement to process your valuation and calculate your discount, it is classified as Strictly Necessary / Essential, and the service only stores data if you decide to use it.

  • Storage name: ealyx_[id]
  • Type: localStorage (First-party). This is not a traditional cookie, but a browser storage entry bound to our store's domain.
  • Maximum duration: It does not expire automatically, but Ealyx clears the data when it is older than 24 hours.
  • Purpose: To store the valuation that the shopper receives and the order data needed to process that discount.
  • Privacy: It only processes minimal personal data to detect logouts. This data is NOT shared with third parties.
4. Cookie management, configuration, and deactivation

The User has the possibility of configuring their browser to be notified of the receipt of cookies, as well as to allow, block, or delete the cookies installed. Note: If you decide to disable cookies, we may not be able to offer you certain services, such as remaining logged in or keeping purchases in your shopping cart.
